TRINITY AND CHANNEL U

In a three year deal with Channel U television Trinity Media Group will bring much needed, national, televised visibility to businesses with an urban customer base through advertising their products and services on the channel.

Former publisher of Pride magazine, Peter Murray, who is now head of business affairs at Trinity Media Group states, "This is a great opportunity for SME's to extend their reach through televised advertising. "Murray claims, "These businesses now have a viable alternative to print media, radio and even the much respected flyers and poster campaigns." When asked how this could be achieved Murray enthuses "because we have made it more cost effective than any other current alternative advertising medium and that's real good news for businesses wanting to grow their customer base."

The channel has managed to position itself at the forefront of urban music. "Channel U boasts the largest solely urban play list in Europe," says Charlie Beuthin, marketing manager, for the channel. "The viewing figures after just six months of broadcasting had leapt to an impressive 1 million individual viewers, according to BARB data, each week and rising". "The channel enjoys a higher 16 - 34 profile than MTV, MTV Base and Kiss." The tie-up between the two companies makes good business sense.
